Fine Art Pigment Prints
Printed in Elliott’s studio, under his direct supervision on heavyweight 310gsm 100 % cotton base paper which is acid free and has no optical brighteners (OBA), which, if present, can cause yellowing after some years.
Color Fine Art Pigment Prints are printed on Canson Edition Etching Rag.This is a very slightly textured paper which enhances the richness of colors.
Black and White photos are printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta, Glossy Fine Art paper. These have the classic, traditional look of classic black and white prints which were made on Silver Gelatin paper (see below) from that time. I make them so they are nearly indistinguishable from actual Silver Gelatin prints.
Silver Gelatin Prints processed to archival standards, made from a digital negative. This is the type of paper which black and white photographic negatives were printed on for most of the last century. They have the classic traditional look of black and white photos from that time and there is a subtle difference, valued by some collectors for this type of print.
Type C Traditional Silver chromogenic prints on Fuji Crystal Archive paper.
Cibachrome No longer made, this type of paper and chemistry was considered by many to be the finest print medium for color photographs before the digital age, and its brilliance has not been equaled. The process yielded incredible color richness and image clarity, with an archival life longer than other color print mediums of the time. I have only two images printed on this paper for general sale – The photo of Dylan taken with Infrared Film (red trees behind him) and the portrait of Dylan featured on the cover the Nashville Skyline album.
