I think of this work as 21st Century Street Photography because I take the photos in the same manner, with the same mindspace as the classic black and white street photography of the past. However, rather than using black and white film, I wander around with a 21st century digital camera and see what life puts in front of me to be photographed, enhanced and kept alive for future generations. The rich colors capturing the spirit, pulsating energy and colors of today are reflective of our culture’s fascination with altered perceptions of reality.
I print them primarily on Canvas because they are closer to Painting than to traditional realistic photographs.
